Winter Camping - Hammock Gear Testing
Dodał: thecyr
Opis filmu:
From the last hammock video, got some new gear, mainly a mummy sleeping bag and a space blanket to try out.
This video is mainly for newbies who are starting to get into winter camping or into hammock camping and are looking at ideas or learning from my mistakes :) Bad editing in this video, however some things to learn... 1. Getting into a hammock via a mummy sleeping bag is hard. But gets easier. 2
. Space blanket didn't work out as expected. 3. I skipped the liner, since I had enough issues trying to get in the hammock. I didn't use the tarp, and the conditions were -3C with light winds. I felt the cold around my shoulders and waist area. The space blanket didn't work as I thought it would.
I might resort back to using the therma rest to insulate myself from the bottom.

the gear that shug uses :)
favorite piece of gear until the fall was the hennessey hex tarp, it was fabulous. But after my last outing in November, I will be moving onto something else for colder weather.
quilt, Top quilt, and Tarp. Warbonnet makes awesome gear, but it is not the cheapest. I had a Hennessy Hammock and Speer Sleep Pad, but an Under quilt is the way to go. Nice vid !! I am about to make some as well.
hammock with A real long zipper to zip you inside for the winter or summer outing it would prevent Mosquitos and or snow or rain getting you wet?
the hammocks made by warbonnet? it sounds similar to what you describe.
happen to have a cheap waterproof bivy I can use...
bag method you describe, but I need some sewing skills to fix the ends since it was not a mummy bag I was using.
have to try again, so I'd love to see a video from you on how to do it. Thanks for trying the way I suggested though : )
like a bivy style hammock.
$50. It has a built in mosquito netting and maybe weighs a pound, i've used it for years, great hammock. Use a NySil tarp suspended over it and your good to go.
a good price
We do it on Mt. Hood Oregon every winter! Another pointless REI purchased waste of time!
one sleeping bag in another .. two cheap ones are good.
we should have alot of content up so please check us out and let us know what you think. Happy Hanging!!!
Space Blanket. Gonna try that out. Cheers;-))
to find uses for the blanket since it is so versatile
totalloy multiuse. Cheers keep the good tips coming. thanks ;-))
the materials for my hammock, tarp/poncho build :)
